The Geophysical Society of Pittsburgh is a nonprofit
organization dedicated to promoting the science of geophysics in
the Appalachian Basin.

We are an official section of the Society of Exploration
Geophysics (SEG).

Monthly meetings are held from September to May on the first
Tuesday at various locations around the Greater Pittsburgh area.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Rock Physics: Seismic Reflections of Rock Properties is a
2-day course offered on May14-15th.

All courses
are at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe. Registration closes
April 30th. If you are thinking of attending, register soon
because the classes could get cancelled if there is low
enrollment.
